　　Adifferentialrelayisaprotectivedevicethatisfedbycurrenttransformerslocatedattwodifferentseriespointsintheelectricalsystem.Thedifferentialrelaycomparesthecurrentsandpicksupwhenthereisadifferenceinthetwo,whichsignifiesafaultinthezoneofprotection.Thesedevicesaretypicallyusedtoprotectwindingsingeneratorsortransformers.

　　分布式控制系统是由分布在不同位置但互相作用的节点构成。每个节点具有智能，可以对各自系统操作控制。系统不同部分之间的通信状态和控制信息交流构成了分布式控制系统，这种系统内的通信是点对点方式，有别于所有的控制以及组成部分之间的通信都由一个中央控制器完成的系统。
